Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Cora Lea was my cousin, her mother and my grandma were sisters. She and LeeRoy were so good to my brother as kids. We lived in SE Kansas and would come to Wichita to visit our grandparents. CL & LR took us all kinds of fun places, Joyland, movies, park & Pizza Hut pizza! She was also good to my uncle Bill and my mom & did so much to help them. She loved us all & we loved her. I will miss her so much. Love, Mary

  2. Cora Lea was a wonderful Girl Scout friend and telephone friend. Since moving to Virginia I had talked to her about every three weeks, a lot about knees, as I was finally going to have mine replaced and we had talked about her bad knees often. I shall remember our wonderful committe times and the Volunteer appreciation dinner committee and all our antics. Good bye to a great friend , wonderful grandma and all round good person.

  3. Leroy – I’m sorry to hear about your tragic loss. Cora Lea was truly a wonderful person and had a heart of gold. She was dedicated with everything she did, whether it was with family or as a volunteer helping others. She will be missed deeply. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. ~ Linda Westerhoff PS…I am sadden that I will not be able to attend the Memorial, since I am in Texas with my daughters.

  4. Uncle LeeRoy, Lisa and girls Cora Lea was my favorite aunt. I will miss her dearly. I have a lot of wonderful memories with her and all of you. Spending the night at your house when we were younger, going to the parks and most of all the colored popcorn. I will diffently miss talking to her on the phone almost every night. Seeing her at Brian’s wedding on Saturday and visiting with her that day will forever be cherished. LeeRoy, you hang in there and remember the good times and memories that you had with her. Lisa, you take of those girls and make your mom proud. She loved you. Hailey and Ashlea your grandma loved you dearly always remember that. You were her pride and joy.
