Cork Paul M.

Cork, Paul M., of Goddard, KS, was given to the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Paul passed away after 80 years of faithful service to the Lord. Visitation with the family will be 7:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 10, at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be 3:00 P.M., Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg, KS. Paul retired from Gates Learjet and from Electromech Technology, both in Wichita, KS. He grew up in Page City, KS and graduated from Kansas State University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Letha Cork, brother, John Cork and sister, Myrna Cork. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor, his sons, Michael Cork (Sherrie) of Richardson, TX, James Cork and Glen Cork (Dianne) all of Wichita and daughters, Christianne Jenkins of Garland, TX, Sandra Preston (Clint) and Paula Gabriel (Francis) all of Plano, TX. Paul was a veteran of the Korean War, a Boy Scout leader, receiving the Silver Beaver Award. He was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1101 N. River Blvd., Wichita, KS, 67203. Visitation with the family will be 7:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 10, at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Inurnment will be 3:00 P.M., Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg, KS.
