Craig McIlvain

McIlvain, Craig, 63, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013. Craig was born October 18, 1949 in Wichita, KS, moved to Estes Park, CO at age 5 and returned to Wichita to begin high school at Southeast High School. He graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelors degree in business. Throughout his adult career he worked at Beech Aircraft and owned numerous businesses. He served as president of the East Wichita YMCA, Wichita Youth Home, and was an avid runner and athlete, having completed marathons and the Pikes Peak Ascent numerous times. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard R. McIlvain and Deana Huntley. Survived by wife, Janet (Hattan) McIlvain; children, Christian (Lea Ann), Jason (Julie), Peter (Kaycee), all of Wichita; brothers, Jim (Marcia) of McKinney, TX, Brian Snart of Louisville, CO; sister, Lindi Carmichael (Bruce) of Estes Park, CO; and five adoring grandchildren, Nicole, Johnathan, Lauren, Katelyn, and Josslyn McIlvain. Memorial Service is at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 29, 2013, at East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas. Memorials have been established with the Wichita YMCA Strong Kids Program, 402 N.
