Cynthia "Cindi" Lou Stueland

Cynthia “Cindi” Lou Stueland, age 65, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 21, accompanied by her loving husband Terry Stueland and sister Jeannie Dillon of Topeka.
She was born on March 12, 1957, in Pasadena, California. Cindi was the daughter of James and Helen Lederer. Cindi’s early life was in Valley Falls, KS, where she attended Valley Falls schools. Cindi grew up in family with a good work ethic which served her well throughout her life. Her dad Jim was a talented cabinetmaker and worked his career as a union laborer out of the Topeka union hall; her mother Helen had various jobs but her most important was being a devoted mother and housewife.
Cindi was blessed with four daughters from a previous marriage. She is survived by her daughter Angela Baxter of Haysville, KS; daughter Angel and her husband Brad Miller of Garnett, KS, her daughter Riane and her husband Doug Livingston of Norman, OK. Cindi is also survived by her two stepchildren, April Cheek and Josh Stueland of Whitewater. She leaves behind 9 beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jim and Helen Lederer, her daughter Becky J. Todd, her brother Jimmy Lederer.
On February 3,1996 Cindi was united in marriage to Terry Stueland. They have been happily married now for 26 years. Both Cindi and Terry had recently retired. Cindi worked as an RN for over 25 years and retired from McConnell Air Force Base. She was well-known for being an excellent mother, nurse, and cook. Cindi and Terry enjoyed camping and traveling to visit family and occasionally could be seen at a casino.
Visitation will be at 9:00 am, Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
So sorry to hear that Cindi passed. We grew up together in Valley Falls. Our parents were good friends. I remember going over to their house and played cards while us kids would play together. My thoughts and prayers
My prayers and thoughts are with family. Cindy and my family spent a lot of time together when Cindy was with Jim. John Todd and my mom Artith were married. Such a nice person!
