Dale Leon Jones, 66, of Wichita, Kansas, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2022. His sudden loss was completely unforeseen, and his family is deeply saddened. Dale was born on October 19, 1955 in Cabool, Missouri. On September 5, 1986, he married his best friend in the world Janice Ann Bammer. In Janice, he found a true partner with whom he raised two amazing sons. On August 11, 1992, they welcomed their first son, Jacob Ian Jones. Their second son, Logan Boyd Jones, was born on July 29, 1994. Dale was preceded in death by his father Dallas. He is survived by his wife Janice, his sons Jake and Logan, his mother June, his mother-in-law MaryAnn, his brother Terry and wife Kathy, his nephew Matthew, and nieces Sarah, Chelsie, and Jessie. Dale was an electrical engineer at MKEC Engineering until he retired in February 2022 where he enjoyed his work and his colleagues. He filled his free time with lake trips, home improvement projects, and ensuring that his family was happy and taken care of. He was one of those people who is just truly good at everything, and he selflessly shared those gifts and that knowledge with those around him. Anyone who knew Dale knew that he was brilliant, caring, and endlessly generous. He was simply an amazing person, and he is already deeply missed. His family and friends will never stop loving or missing him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dale can be made to About Face Theatre in Chicago or Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita as he loved to support his children's interests and passions. There will be a funeral service held Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Downing and Lahey West Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas.
