  1. Dear Mrs. Gordon, I worked for Dale in 1971 thru 1973 at Lawrence Photo. I was on the retail sales floor. Thru the years I got to know Dale some what, I always admired the positive ways, he did things. But the thing I was most impressed, he did was to have a bonus for everybody. Later I got to start up a discount retail outlet at the Gem store location. Dale had a very simple plan and the bonus was off of the previous store. The bonus was very easy to obtain, he just wanted for us to obtain and end. To me, he could have made unreasonable goals, so not to pay bonuses: Not Dales way. Later that year Gem stores claimed bank rupture, so we had to close the outlet. Having cost Dale some money, he never blamed me for any of that cost to him. Any goal Dale set, he also set for himself, makes a person want to dig in there to make the goal. Dale has inspired me so much. Thanks for Sharing Dale. I will always remember Dale, in my mind and prayers. Yours Truly, Bruce Wright

  2. I WAS PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN DALE OVER THE PAST 35 YEARS, AND TO HAVE BEEN ENVOLVED WITH HIM IN KU ACTIVITIES AND ROTARY. HE WILL BE MISSED. I AM GREATFUL AND THANKFUL FOR ALL THAT HE DID TO HELP OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR STATE. HE IS AN EXAMPLE TO US ALL.
