  1. Daniel,
Monday is Memorial Day, so today Mike and I put flowers on your grave. Still missing you, and I’m looking forward to seeing you again, very soon! It won’t be much longer. I’m so grateful for all the precious memories I have. You were such a blessing! I love you!
    Love,
    Mom

  2. Daniel,
Today, Mike and I went to the cemetery and put out your 4th of July decorations. I still need to get different flowers, so I will make another visit to take care of that. I love seeing your face whenever we visit! I love you, so much, and I miss you! I am counting on seeing you again, very soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  3. Daniel,
Today is July 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery to pick up your Fourth of July decorations. I was a little annoyed to find that one of your pinwheels had blown down, and the groundskeeper mowed over it! It was shredded to pieces. Anyway, I still wiped off your picture, as usual. I was afraid it would rain on us while we were there, but it stopped before we got there. Yeah!
I still really miss you, and I look forward to the day we are united again! I love you, so much!
    Love,
    Mom

  4. Happy birthday, Daniel!
Today is your forty-fourth birthday! I know you are celebrating with Jesus, and that is the best party you can possibly have! I am looking forward to the day we all party together! We will have a blast! I love you, so much, and I miss you! I will see you soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  5. Daniel,
It’s August 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. I wiped off your face, as usual. I miss that face, but I know you are in the best place! I take comfort in knowing you are happy, safe, and living with Jesus! That is truly wonderful! I will join you very soon! I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  6. Daniel,
Today is September 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. I told Mike it feels like it has been a long time since you have been gone but it also feels very recent. I don’t know how that is possible, but that’s how it feels. As always, I miss you very much! I know I will see you soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  7. Daniel,
Today is October 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. We put out your Halloween decorations and your fall flowers. Your grave is beautiful! I’m sure everyone who sees it thinks that. I still miss you! I love sharing my memories of you with others. We really had lots of fun! I know that very soon we will be having fun once again! I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  8. Daniel,
It is November 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery to pick up your Halloween decorations and put out the Thanksgiving decorations. I finally found some really cute Thanksgiving decorations. They are scarecrows holding signs with thankful wishes. We also put out a little train with scarecrows, pumpkins, and a turkey. They are all really adorable! Again, as always, I still miss you like crazy! I know I will see you soon, and we will really have a celebration! I love you, so much!
    Love,
    Mom

  9. Daniel,
Today is December 7th. It’s been eleven years since you went to be with Jesus. As always, it feels like such a long time ago, but it also feels so recent. I still miss you so much! It still hurts so much! Even though I really miss you, I would never want you to come back here! I mean, you are in the absolute best place of all, and I will be with you soon! I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  10. Daniel,
It’s Christmas, and I really miss you! Mike and I watched the video of the KETCH talent show where you imitated Elvis. You really had some great moves! It was really wonderful to see you, again! It’s been such a long time. I know today was really great for you because you can celebrate with Jesus! So cool! Not much longer and I will be right there with you. It will be awesome! Until that time, always know that I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  11. Daniel,
Today, Mike and I went to the cemetery and put out your Valentine’s Day decorations. I wish we had more of them. I will have to keep an eye out for some more cute things to put out. We found the DVD of your performance in the KETCH talent show. You did Elvis singing, “Heartbreak Hotel.” You really had some great moves! I was impressed! It was so great to SEE you, again! I know it won’t be long until I will see you again forever! It will be awesome! I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  12. Daniel,
It is February 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. We already put out your Valentine’s Day decorations. There aren’t very many. I will have to try harder to find more. As always, I miss you, and I love you. I know I will see you very soon. We enjoy watching the imitation you did of Elvis Presley for the KETCH talent show. You had some great moves! I love you!!!
    Love,
    Mom

  13. Daniel,
Today Mike and I went to the cemetery and brought your Valentine’s Day decorations home. We put out the new decorations we bought for St. Patrick’s Day. They are cat figurines dressed for St. Pat’s day. Some have hats or scarves on, and some are popping up out of pots of gold. They are adorable, and I think you would like them. As always, I wiped off your picture with a tissue. I really miss you, and I REALLY love you! Not much longer until we are together again!
    Love,
    Mom

  14. Daniel,
It’s March 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. Oh, I REALLY miss you! I miss your sweet face and your laugh. There’s nobody here to tell me when my shirt is funny. That always bugged you. You were such a special guy. There are still hard days, dealing with you being gone. However, I know we will be together again soon. Not much longer. Anyway, I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  15. Daniel,
Today, Mike and I went to the cemetery and brought home your St. Patrick’s Day decorations. While we were there, we put out your Easter decorations. Barb has put a memory heart plaque out. It has a beautiful sentiment on it. I really miss you, Dan! Really miss you! Not much longer. I will see you soon.
    Love,
    Mom

  16. Daniel,
Today is April 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery, as usual. I wiped off your picture like I usually do. I REALLY love that face! I will be so excited on the day I see you again! I will get to see you and everyone else, but getting to see Jesus will be awesome!! What a glorious day that will be! Anyway, we brought home your Easter decorations. I guess the next holiday will be the 4th of July. I have to get some new things for that one. I miss you so much! Not much longer, and we will celebrate together!
    Love,
    Mom

  17. Daniel,
Today is May 7, 2024. Mike and I went to the cemetery like we do every month. I still really miss you! Barb reminded me today about the time at Chi Chi’s when you came out of the restroom with toilet paper mummy wrap. It was hilarious! I have many wonderful memories! You really made things fun! Still missing you; still loving you.
    Love,
    Mom

  18. Daniel,
Today is Memorial Day, so Mike and I went to the cemetery and switched out your flowers. Today, everyone celebrated Ethan’s 21st birthday. They had grilled burgers and had cupcakes. You would have had a blast. Not much longer and we will be celebrating together again. Until then, I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  19. Daniel,
Today is June 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. We switched out your flowers again. I miss you so much, Dan! I know I won’t have to wait much longer until I see you again! I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  20. Daniel,
We went to the cemetery, today. It was a really pretty day. It wasn’t windy, and it wasn’t hot. The 4th of July was Thursday. I remember when you were little you didn’t like the fireworks. I think the noise and the burning fuses was too much for you. I think as you got older, you outgrew those fears. Anyway, I still miss you, so much! It will be so great to see you again! Not much longer! I love you so much, too! See you soon!
    Love, Mom

  21. Happy birthday, Daniel!
You would be 45 years old, today. Wow! I still have so many great memories of the day you were born! If you were here, we would have had a party, but I know you are celebrating in the perfect place! Soon, I will join you and we will have a wonderful time! I love you and miss you, so much!
    Love,
    Mom

  22. Daniel,
Today is August 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. That picture of you on your headstone is so sweet! It is a face of innocence and not a smidge of malice! I REALLY love that face! I am looking forward to the day I can look into your eyes again! I miss you, so much! I will see you soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  23. Daniel,
We went to the cemetery today. It was a nice day, and a welcome change from the heat we have been having. I really miss you! I have several pictures of you on a bookshelf by the bed. I look at them and remember. We had so much fun! You really liked to have a good time, and you made everyone with you have fun, too! I look forward to having fun with you soon! Not much longer. I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  24. Daniel,
Today is October 7th, so Mike and I took your Halloween decorations to the cemetery. They are really cute! Sometimes, I remember that terribly cold and icy Halloween when you and I only went to a handful of houses. Wow, that was a cold one! You always liked Halloween. Even the cold ones were fun! I really miss you! I love you, so much, and I know we will be together very soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  25. Daniel,
It is November 7th. Mike and I went to the cemetery, picked up your Halloween decorations, and put out your Thanksgiving decorations. They are so cute! I would never wish you were here since I know you are in the most wonderful place EVER, but that doesn’t stop me from missing you! I know it won’t be much longer! I LOVE you, so much, and I MISS you!
    Love,
    Mom

  26. Hi Dan! It’s December 7th. Today you have been gone from us for 12 years. It feels like it has been much longer! This week, I got that old feeling where it felt weird and wrong that you are gone. I quickly reminded myself that you are exactly where you should be. We picked up your Thanksgiving decorations and put out your Christmas decorations. This year, we added an abominable snowman solar figurine. It’s the character from the Rudolph the Reindeer cartoon. I think you would like it. It’s really cute! I still miss you and know we will be together very soon. I love you, so much!
    Love,
    Mom

  27. Merry Christmas, Daniel! Mike and I went to the cemetery to visit your grave today. When I think about how much you loved Christmas, I think about how awesome Christmas must be with Jesus! Just awesome! Someday soon I will be there having a great time, too! Until then, I love you, and I miss you!
    Love,
    Mom

  28. Daniel,
It is January 7, 2025. We went to the cemetery, but we didn’t need to pick up your Christmas decorations. I picked them up last Friday because an ice/snow storm was coming through. We didn’t want to leave them out during that. When we were at the cemetery, I couldn’t even wipe off your picture because it was ice-covered. Your flowers were heavy with ice, as well.
A day or so ago, I was thinking about how strange it still feels not having you here. I guess that feeling will never go away. I still REALLY miss you, and I look forward to seeing you, again! I love you so much!! Not much longer.
    Love,
    Mom

  29. Daniel,
It is February 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. I miss you, and I almost said, “I wish you were here,” but I realize that would be selfish of me. I do miss you like crazy, and it is hard not having you here, but I know you are with the Lord, and that is the best place to be! When I see children with Down’s syndrome, I always remember things you did when you were still with us. You were so much fun, and you liked to laugh and have a good time! I miss you so much, and I know I will see you again very soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  30. Daniel,
Today Mike and I went to the cemetery. We picked up your St. Patrick’s Day decorations and set out your Easter decorations several days ago. However, your flowers were looking so bad, we just took them out of the vases. I think it looks better to have empty vases rather than terrible looking flowers in them. We will put out flowers later. I found out there is still a little part of me that still wishes you were here. I know that isn’t the right way to feel. I know you’re in the absolute perfect place. I take great comfort in that assurance, but I’m human, and I REALLY miss you! I tell myself it won’t be much longer until I can join you. I love you, and I will see you soon!
    Love,
    Mom

  31. Daniel,
Today Mike and I went to the cemetery and picked up your Easter decorations. Now I have to find some really great Fourth of July decorations. I want some really cute stuff! I have seen a few things, but I need to focus my search. Anyway, I still really miss you! Last night I was thinking about you, again, and it seemed weird that you’re gone! I am not really sure how to describe it, but it was a strange feeling! I still miss you so much!!! I love you, and I’m looking forward to seeing you and hearing your voice again!
    Love,
    Mom

  32. Daniel,
Today is Memorial Day, so Mike and I went to the cemetery. We tried to use the styrofoam from another flower arrangement. I’m not really happy with the way they look! We will have to do better next time! Anyway, I still miss you so much! I know I will see you soon! I love you!
    Love,
    Mom

  33. Daniel,
Today is June 7th, so Mike and I went to the cemetery, as usual. Oh, I miss you! I know you are having a wonderful time, and I know I will be with you soon! Until that day, I will just have to wait. I love you, and I will see you soon! Love,
    Mom

  34. Daniel,
Mike and I went to the cemetery today to put out your 4th of July decorations. The figurines are dogs wearing patriotic sunglasses. They are really cute! As always, I still miss you like crazy! I love you so much, Dan! Not much longer and we will be together again!
    Love,
    Mom
