Daniel E. Dan Martinez

Martinez, Daniel E. “Dan”, 90, retired 38-year supervisor for Boeing and World War II Veteran, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Friday, and Memorial Mass at 11:00 am Saturday, both at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 Grand Street in Wichita. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. As a 2nd Lieutenant in the 7th Infantry Division, Dan was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground combat during World War II in the Asiatic - Pacific Theater of Operations. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Angel (Marquez) Martinez; son, Robert Martinez wife Barb, Asheville, NC; sister, Carmen Cordova, Denver, CO; granddaughter, Kristen Kneidel husband Matt, Mt. Pleasant, SC; great-grandchildren, Dylan Cruz and Stella Rose Kneidel. Honorary Pall Bearers include Matt Kneidel, Fred Lopez, Ray Marquez, Fred Martinez, Ralph Rentera, and Ray Reyes.
