Foley, Daniel Emmett, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2015 surrounded by family and his beloved pets, Tommy, Louis and Chanel. He was born March 1, 1932 in Ponca City, OK to D. Emmett and C. Ione Foley. Dan was preceded in death by his daughter Danelle and parents. Dan is survived by his daughters Robin P. Foley, Tracy McKinney (Rich) and Erin Foley; siblings, Robin B. Foley (Karen) and Margaret Vink (David); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and then went on to graduate from Wichita State University in 1959 with a B.A. and later served as president of the WSU alumni association. Dan along with his brother, Robin, founded Taco Tico and operated it from 1960 until its sale in 1988. Dans hobbies and passions included art, wine tasting, recreational aviation, golf, and SHOCKER athletics. Rosary is 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 and Funeral Mass is 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2015 both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Memorials have been established with PALS Animal Rescue, Inc, P.O. Box 47342, Wichita, KS 67201 and Guadalupe Health Foundation, 940 S. St. Francis, Wichita, KS 67211. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
