Darlene E. Rundle

Rundle, Darlene Elaine, 84 of Garden City, Kansas died Friday, November 1, 2013. She was born October 14, 1929 in Hoisington, Kansas, the daughter of Henry Wilhelm, Jr. and Martha (Ernst) Wilhelm. Darlene grew up and attended school in Galatia, Kansas. She married Darwin Arthur Rundle on November 7, 1954 in Ellsworth, Kansas. He was the love of her life and preceded her in death this past August. They lived in Garden City since 1959. Darlene was a long time sales associate at Alco and faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church. Survivors include her children, Deborah and husband Derek Dixon of Wichita, KS and Daniel and wife Joni Rundle of Prairie Village, KS; one brother, Le Roy and wife Arlene Wilhelm of Great Bend, KS; two sisters Janiece Cowan of Augusta, KS and Janeal Rodecape and husband Homer of Colorado Springs, CO; and three grandchildren Allisa and husband Chris Prokopanko; Chris Rundle and Nick Rundle. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ernest. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
