Darrel "Max" Watson

Darrel “Max” Watson, 93, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Pathway Church; Graveside service, 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Latham (KS) Cemetery. Max was born and raised in Latham, KS. He served in the Air Force for 4 years. He was then employed by St. Francis Hospital as manager of Data Processing. After retiring, Max started a business selling exercise equipment. He enjoyed being with family, going to his farm in Latham, and attending church and events. He had many good years in retirement and gave death a good fight. He was preceded in death by parents, Roland and Anna Watson; daughter, Teresa; brother Forrest; and sisters, Velma Wright and Dorothea Beers. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Martha (Masters); son, Scott (Ginny) Watson; daughter, Julie (Joe) Wedan; grandchildren, Matt (Colette) Wedan, Tim (Lindsay) Wedan, Vanessa Williams; great grandchildren, Georgia, Quinn, Zoey, Violet, Lebron, Preslee; brother, Gerald Watson. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Pathway Church, 2001 N. Mazie Rd., Wichita, KS 67219.
