David L. Wessling

Wessling, David L., beloved husband of Michelle of 6914 ONeil in Wichita, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006. A prayer service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19 followed by a funeral mass at 4:30 p.m. both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. David, principal of Northeast Magnet High School, was well known for his kind heart and generosity of spirit, especially within the high schools in which he served. His door was never closed to a student or parent in time of need. David attended Fort Hays State University, where he received a Masters degree in English and a Secondary School Administration certification. David taught for eleven years in Hays, at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School. In Wichita, David served at Bishop Carroll High School, then within USD 259 at both Heights High School and currently at Northeast Magnet High School. Both he and Michelle attended Holy Savior Catholic Church. David was the son of Alphonse and LaVerne, both deceased, of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy and sister, Linda.
