David Ray Potter, 53, painter, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021. David was born June 30, 1968, in Wichita, and was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Potter. He is survived by his longtime partner, Marcy J. Nitzel; mother, Patricia (Foshee) Potter, both of Wichita, and brother, Jeff Potter of Bellingham, WA. A private memorial service, for immediate family only, will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Oatville. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

David will be missed although I hardly ever saw him. He was my son’s friend, but he would come over to my house sometimes and have a drink with my husband. If he had been painting in the area, he would stop in and say hey. He was always welcome and it was good seeing him. David always seemed cheerful.
