David Ricken, 63, United States Postal Carrier, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, both on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Preceded in death by his father, Edwin Theodore Ricken; sister, Judith Beddow. Survived by his mother, Kathy Ricken; wife, Pamela Ricken; brother, Eugene "Geno" Ricken; sisters, Jane Stavniak and Jennifer Ashton.

You have my sincere sympathy and condolence on the passing of David Ricken. I was pleased to speak with him briefly a short time ago and I always enjoyed his many FB posts. May he rest in peace.
David is my cousin and since I am the oldest of the girls I babysat him. He was like a little brother to me. He loved family and never missed an event or anyones’ funeral. He was a character and will be missed. I see error in this obituary as his sister Judith preceded him in death and he has another living sister…Jennifer Ricken Ashton of Imperial Mo.
Thank you so much for being there and for being you. The picture of my older siblings and you was on his dresser so I had to include it. He loved you. He’s chasing Judy or talking to Dad. He’s at peace.

I wish to thank the staff at Downey and Lahey for the wonderful job that they did caring for and about my family as well as my brother Dave. I would and will recommend them and Delaney to anyone else who finds themselves lost and in need. My brother David was a wonderful man and a really good soul and friend to all. I will miss you so much. Rest in peace my big brother. Much love sent up to you in heaven.
