  1. Gregg and I’s Facebook messages seem empty :(. David will be greatly missed. He was a gentle soul with a big heart.

  2. David and I met at Walmart 30 + yrs ago. Had many lunches and dinners together. Talked about everything under the sun. I learn so much about plants and flowers working with him in Lawn and Garden.
He never missed a Birthday, Christmas, New Years, and Mother’s Day. He never forgot i love purple either. He was such a good friend ! David always was worried about how I was doing after my breast cancer. Since it took a toll on me.
We talked about fishing. His favorite places and some he wanted to go.
David, now you can fish all the time! I know my dad will go because he too loves fishing.
I’ll miss you my dear friend 💜!

  3. In loving memory of David Rongish, whose love for fishing was only surpassed by his incredible kindness and His Love of his Daughter and grandkids. Whether on the water´s edge or in the company of friends, he found joy in the simple moments, teaching us all the value of patience, laughter, and a well-told fishing tale. His spirit will forever be a part of every cast line and every sunrise over calm waters. He also had a knack for tall tales. With a twinkle in his eye, he´d spin stories so vivid you´d swear you were right there with him, reeling in the big one or narrowly escaping adventure. Much like his spirit, his stories will continue bringing smiles and laughter to everyone who knew him. I will miss you, David. You are a great friend.

  4. Dave, I will miss you very much all the times we had coffee when I would come home from work once or twice a day talk about everything especially your mom‘s flowers and you would always tell me remember don’t mow my mom‘s flowers I will miss you

  5. David was a good cousin to me. Cousin Dave had a big passion for Ecology, Fishing and telling stories. Cousin Dave planted the fishing seed in me when I was a young boy. David took me on an overnight Cub Scout camping and fishing trip. Cousin Dave made the trip so exciting and educational. I can still remember cousin David telling me “ be quiet Pat …don’t scare the fish” as we approached the river with our fishing poles. I learned so much from Cousin Dave over the years. Fishing became one of my favorite hobbies. I always enjoyed sharing fishing stories with cousin Dave. David’s stories always made me laugh. Fishing was always the most fun with cousin Dave. I’m going to miss him.

    Cousin Pat

  6. I attended East Jefferson High School 52 years ago with David who was an excellent student and outstanding scholar in the sciences and mathematics. As stated in many tributes, David loved his fishing. He was kind, thoughtful, loved the outdoors and a wonderful person. My condolences to his family.

  7. I knew David when he worked at Walmart 1099. He was such a gentle and all around nice guy. May God welcome you into his kingdom my friend.
