Deeanna Marie Stockebrand, 68, of Wichita, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023.Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 am; Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.Dee was born September 22, 1954, in Yates Center, KS, the daughter of George Benjamin and Thelma Jane (Wilson) Stewart. She married Leo E. Stockebrand, Jr. on July 14, 1973, in Yates Center, KS. Junior and Dee would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, July 14th.She retired in 2017 after 31 years at Affiliated Medical Services. She also worked at Cessna in Wichita. Dee was an amazing seamstress, making her wedding dress as well as others. Every year she would make the grandchildren’s Halloween costumes. If you ever visited their house, it was clear how creative she was. She was wonderful at decorating for every holiday and season. She taught her children and grandchildren to be responsible and to have fun. Dee loved her family fiercely and enjoyed gathering us together for any occasion. Vacationing with her family was also something she greatly enjoyed. She was passionate about spoiling her grandchildren. Dee went to every band, choir concert, and game she was able to for her grandchildren. At the soccer and baseball games, you could hear her cheer over everyone.Dee was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Cheryl Stewart.She is survived by her husband, Junior; daughter, Jolayne Greer and her husband, Jim, of Topeka, KS; son, Justin Stockebrand and his wife, Brandi, of Haysville, KS; grandchildren, Taylor Stockebrand and her significant other, Grady Tichenor, of Topeka, KS, Ashby Greer of Topeka, KS, Jorin Stockbrand and his wife, Alyssa, of Stillwater, OK, Maddi Stockebrand of Haysville, KS and Kadin Stockebrand of Haysville, KSMemorial contributions are suggested to Kidd’s Kid, 220 E.
