Delores “Dee” H. (Manke) Quasebarth, 89, was welcomed home by our Lord on Friday, December 5, 2025. She passed away peacefully after a prolonged Alzheimer’s journey.

She was born March 26, 1936 in Chase, KS, and was the daughter of William Leopold and Lillie Karoline Dora (Koch) Manke.

Delores grew up and attended schools in the Chase and Ellinwood, KS area. She also attended Fort Hays State University.

On February 23, 1957, Delores married Raymond H. Quasebarth in Ellinwood, KS at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They moved to Wichita, KS where they started their married lives and their family.

Delores began working at GMAC as soon as their youngest was in school full-time and worked there until the early 1990’s. She retired shortly after her grandson was born and joyfully stepped into the role of “Nana.” When she wasn’t working in her flower beds or at her sewing machine, Delores always kept herself busy.

Dee and Ray loved to travel and were blessed to enjoy many years of seeing God’s creation in various parts of this world.

Dee was also active with the Tri-Psi Sorority (Tri-Delta’s Mother’s Sorority) and served in many positions, including President for the local chapter.

The most important part of Dee’s life was her faith and her church. LWML (the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League), was an organization where Delores found fulfillment and joy. Holy Cross Lutheran Church was her church home and she actively supported and participated on many committees and causes.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Cox of Andover, KS; son-in-law, JM Cox of Andover, KS; son Michael Quasebarth of Baltimore, MD; her beloved sister, Gloria Hanson of Wallace, KS; her grandson, Chance Cox; and daughter-in-law, Rose Quasebarth (widow of her oldest son, Scott).

Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, who passed on April 19, 2006; her eldest child, Scott, who passed July 23, 2012; her youngest sister, Melvadean Richardson; her eldest sister, Evelyn Kowalke; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, December 12, 2025, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations to: Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E Rockhill St #403, Wichita, KS 67206.
