Diana Appelhans

November 16, 1964 ~ October 12, 2024
Diana Appelhans, 59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Born November 16, 1964, to Harold and Marilyn Copper, Diana was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, “Nanny,” and friend to many.
Known for her kindness and care for others, Diana loved country music, movies, and her favorite shows. She had a passion for animals, rescuing many cats throughout her life. Her greatest pride was her son, Ryan Patrick, to whom she was deeply devoted, along with his husband and friends, whom she embraced as her own. Diana also welcomed many honorary sisters, nieces, and nephews into her heart, simply because she loved them.
A faithful Christian and proud Episcopalian since her 2019 confirmation, Diana is now at peace in the hands of her Creator.
She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Copper; her son, Ryan Patrick (Nathan Whitman); her sisters, Pam Kirtley and Lori Prado; her great uncles and aunt, Roger Riffe and Tom and Ruthellen Riffe; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Diana’s warm and accepting spirit touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Copper; her husband, Mike Appelhans; her brother-in-law, Bob Kirtley; her great aunt, Linda Riffe; and her cousins, Angela and Matt Riffe and Joshua Copper. She is now reunited with those she loved and missed.
