ANDOVER - Gough, Diane Leahy, 61, passed away July 16, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. Memorial service 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 20 at the Heartspring Conference Center. Diane was born in St. Louis, MO to David D. E. Maureen (Sullivan) Leahy on November 20, 1950. She attended School of the Magdalen, Mt. Carmel Academy and Wichita State University, receiving her Masters Degree in Speech Hearing Disorders. She worked primarily with pre-school children at Heartspring (formerly The Institute of Logopedics) for over 20 years as a Speech and Language Pathologist. It was not work to her; it was one of her life passions. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved uncle Adrian Monnat, her cousin, Nancy Monnat Greever. She is survived by her husband of 41 yrs., Greg, her two children, R. Annie Gough, Denver, CO, and Andrew R. Gough (Katie King Gough) and their two children Weston Gregory and Sullivan Daniel, Wichita, KS, her five siblings, Sheila Leahy Eaton (Jim), Denver, CO, David D. Leahy, III (JDena), Woodward, OK, Maureen Leahy (Kent Weltmer), Great Bend, KS, Carol Leahy Helms (Tom), The Woodlands, TX, Colleen Leahy Malone (Pat), Cranberry Twp, PA. aunts Margaret (Moggie) Monnat, Rita Johnson and Geraldine Wallace, and uncle James M. Sullivan, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Our beloved “GiGi” enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her laboradors, Lexie, Meg, and baby Belle. She loved golfing, gardening, walking (in 2011, Diane walked a half-marathon in Vancouver, BC!), fishing in MN, traveling to the Napa Valley and abroad. She touched everyone with her warmth and spirit and will be dearly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartspring, 8700 E. 29th St. North, Wichita, KS 67226.
