Diane Marie (Stroot) Ternes

Diane Marie (Stroot) Ternes, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Virginia Stroot. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle, and son-in-love Jason Allen; her son, Brian Ternes; and her cherished granddaughter, Jessa Allen.

Diane had a 30+ year career in insurance before her retirement and was known for her kindness, steadfast faith, and the way she made everyone feel welcome with her beautiful smile. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She deeply enjoyed spending time with her family, spearheading vacations, faithfully attending all games, performances, and milestones. She found joy in Zumba classes, line dancing, and as a devoted animal lover, also enjoyed helping with the cattle.

The Holy Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7:00 pm; Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Greenwood County Cemetery in the beautiful and peaceful Flint Hills in a private family graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, Diane requested that you honor her memory by giving the gift of life through blood or platelet donation with the American Red Cross.
