Carroll, Dolores Bartels, 89, was born March 17, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri to William Joseph and Mary Agnes Bartels and died May 6, 2012. Rosary 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 9 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Union, MO with burial following at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10 at Church of the Magdalen, Wichita. During WWII, Dolores married Clarence Carroll on August 28, 1943, at Fort Benning, Georgia, and they were married for 67 years. Dolores was a devout Catholic, bridge club card shark, avid cross-stitcher and loving matriarch to her family. She will forever be remembered as an elegant and loyal mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence and son, Patrick James. She is survived by her three children, Bill (Joyce) Carroll, Dr. Paul (Debbie) Carroll and Beth (Dr. Whitney) VinZant, all of Wichita; greatly loved by her grandchildren, Sarah Klepper, Dr. Emily VinZant, Whit VinZant, Allyson VinZant, Ben VinZant, Lindsay Carroll, Daniel Carroll and Elizabeth Carroll; three great-grandchildren, Cabrini and Bodie Klepper and Ella Maybee. She is survived by her two sisters, Marie Straatmann of Union, MO and Dorothy Rose Elli of Kirkwood, MO. Beth: I was in Kansas City over the weekend and was shocked at yours mom’s death. I can’t cometo the memorial as I delivey medicine for Hospice at that time. I will really miss seeing your mom in the two rows in front me. I will add her to my daily prayers. I doubt she will really need them. Dave
