Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My most heart felt condolences to Don’s family and friends. The times Don and I spent working together on WPD will always be memories of the good and bad times we shared. He will be dearly missed.

  2. In the 60’s, my family (Vogts) lived next door to the Deckerts on 2nd street in Newton. Don and my brother Ken – who passed away 20 years ago – were good friends. Dwight was a couple of years older but he and the Shelly kids across the alley accepted me into their group and we were always playing some kind of game. Don was was the older cool kid, and I always looked up to him. It sounds like people did that all his life. My condolences to his family and to Dwight and Donna. Hearing of his death saddened me, but also reminded me of many happy times in the old neighborhood.

  3. Donna, my heart goes out to you. Brothers, younger or older, are such an important part of our lives. Great joy to know you will one day see Don again. Frieda (Busenitz) Erickson
