Donald Eugene Richter, 91, retired self-employed sales representative for the wholesale food packaging industry salesperson and proud Air Force (weather service) Veteran of the Korean conflict era, died Thursday, May 9, 2024. Private family services in Chicago at a later date. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Emil and Dorothy Francis Richter; daughter, Kathleen Richter; 3 brothers; and 1 sister. Survived by his wife, Patricia Richter; son, Roy Mathew (Mary Ella) Richter, all of Wichita, KS; sister, Elizabeth Pennington of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren, Ryan (Samantha) Richter of Newton, KS, Emily (Michael) Freund of Wichita, KS; great-grandchildren, Kade Richter, Josephine, Felicity, and Romee Freund. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
