Donald Wynne Doze, 77, passed away on September 14, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he lived a life marked by service, integrity, and deep love for his family.

Born on January 19, 1948 in Wichita, KS, Don proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His patriotism and dedication to his country remained a defining part of his character throughout his life.

After his military service, Don built a long and respected career as a Quality Assurance Director, where his commitment to excellence and fairness earned him the admiration of colleagues and friends.

Family was always at the center of his world. He loved his family “big,” and his joy was found in time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. His kindness, humor, and steady presence touched all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Doze; his daughter, Kim Doze-Lohmann, and her husband, Dustin Lohmann; son, Brian Doze, and his wife, Amanda Doze; grandchildren, Collins Lohmann, Banks Lohmann, Sawyer Doze, Maddox Doze; siblings, Angela Sachson, Pati Canevari, Steve Doze.

Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.

In honor of Don’s life and as a tribute to his dedication of lifting people up and paying it forward, memorials have been established with the PAN Foundation, an organization focused on equitable accessible healthcare for all; as well as the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita honoring his grandson, Banks.

Don will be remembered for his unwavering love, his strong sense of duty, and the legacy of family and friendship he leaves behind.
