Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Although we didn’t get to know Donna personally since she and Ed married, we know that was our loss. Ed, you are in our thoughts and prayers. All our love to you and yours.

  2. I met Donna 20+ years ago when we both worked with Avon and lived near each other in Westlink. We developed a close friendship and shared many, many memories. We learned to snow ski together or I should say Donna learned, and I tried. Donna was the quick learner, I could do nothing right. Everytime I fell, Donna was there to pick me up, even though she could hardly stand still on her skiis and actually fell into a snow bank while trying to help me. She was always there for me, no matter what time of day or where we were, I knew I could always count on my friend Donna. We shared many stories of our children and grandchildren and we never passed a moment to brag about how wonderful they were. Whenever I traveled to Arizona to visit, Donna would always make sure as soon as I landed, Ed and she would take me to Dillons for dinner just to make sure I would get something to eat after I landed. When Donna and Ed mentioned we were going to Dillons for dinner, I thought about the grocery store, but soon realized it was one of the nicer restrauants in Sun City. And of course as the days passed, with my visit, Donna made sure we had a shopping trip just so she could purchase a T-shirt for me, as she said, you can’t come to Arizona and leave without a T-shirt. Donna had a never ending love for animals, I remember how she told me about Pye, the cat she found in the WSU parking lot. It was without a collar and appeared hurt. She took Pye in her car and made sure the vet helped Pye back to good health, and of course Pye’s home became Donna’s home. Here’s to you Donna, until we meet again, I love you and I will not forget you,

  3. I met Donna at Wichita State University when I was hired on at the office beside her. Donna and I became quick friends and I grew to love and cherish her. Donna is a strong independent woman and I nicked named her ‘sun goddess’ because this lady would always be in the sun no matter how hot. I will miss her smile, her carefree mannerism and her extraordinary love for animals. Donna will always be in my heart for she really helped me in tough times. I will truly miss her. God, open the gates for Donna, for she is now at home in peace. I love you Donna, but unable to say good-bye.

  4. Dear Donna, We have been friends for 57 years since first grade. Through all the years we were always friends. I will miss not being able to communicate with you. I am so happy I last saw you at our class reunion last year. I know you are resting in peace with the Lord.

  5. Donna was a special person and a wonderful friend to me. We met in art class at Bancroft Jr. High many years ago. We did alot of crazy things together and the memories are to numerous to even count. Even though she didn’t attend a church, I know she is a Christian and closer to God than we know by the many E-Mails she sent me that related to that subject. She will be happy where she is and surrounded by the love of those who have gone on before her. Donna, I will miss you and our sending birthday cards back and forth every year. I am glad we spent time together for the last time in Colorado Springs in April. I know we will meet again some day.

  6. Donna was my best buddy. She was always there when I needed her. Although we did not talk every single day, we ate lunch together about once a month and picked right up where we left off last month! I always planned on at least a two-hour lunch when we met. She was ‘larger than life’ and one of the best people I knew. When I interviewed for a job with WSU, she was asked to talk to me about the position. We sat together in a back room and visited so long that one of the ladies had to come get us. I felt like I’d known her forever right from the beginning. We shared our love for animals and took turns watching each other’s pets while on vacation. I attended her wedding to Ed – what a great guy!! Donna, I’m going to miss you terribly and cannot believe you are gone. I will think of you often – you were a special lady.
