Dora Lee Kitchings

HAYSVILLE - Kitchings, Dora “Dorie” L., 76, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at her home in Haysville. Dorie was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She was the beloved wife of Earl “Chief” Kitchings; loving mother of Kim and Bill Strohm of Haysville, Skip and Shelley Nielsen of Carlsbad, NM, Danny and Lisa Nielsen, Michelle and Tony Harrold, Micheal and Raquel Kitchings, all of Arvada, CO; sister of Judy and Art Greenmyer of Arvada, CO and George Shephard of Lakewood, CO; she had 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Percy and Grace Shephard, and sister, Barbara Whissen. Visitation with the family, 6:00-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 18; Services, 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Dorie will be going home for burial in Arvada, CO. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas, 2622 W. Central, Suite 501, Wichita, KS 67203.
