Doris Lusk

Doris Irene Lusk, 83, died Thursday, August 27, 2015. Doris was born February 5, 1932 in Olivet, KS to Leon and Carrie Shirley. She is survived by Neil, her devoted husband of 64 years; children Stephen (Martha) Lusk of Topeka, David (Pam) Lusk of Reno, NV, Eric (Pennie) Lusk of Owasso, OK, Anita (Jamie) Hunter of Stilwell, KS; grandchildren Brandon, Bethany, Brett, Luke, Lincoln, Samantha, Emily, Ben, Gaven, Anna, Grace, Addie; six great-grandchildren; sisters Frances Selig of Clay Center, Joyce Germann of Maple Valley, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa; her sisters Lois Higbee, Mildred Hupp and her brother Harry Shirley. Doris was an Avon representative for many years and an active member of the Architects Sunday School class at College Hill United Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter and a loyal aerobic fitness participant who loved putting puzzles together and was always up for a board game with grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10 am on Friday, September 4 at College Hill United Methodist Church, followed by inurnment at 2:30 pm at Alpine Cemetery overlooking Melvern Lake near Olivet, Kansas.
