Dorothy loved Jesus and it was evident in the way she lived her life. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She particularly loved holidays like Thanksgiving when everyone could be together at her home. Other things Dorothy enjoyed were travel and baking. She was fortunate enough to travel well into her 80’s and visited locations all over the world, often taking family members with her. Her delicious pies were the best around, loved by all and always the first to go in fundraising events.Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Loretta Russell; first husband, Robert Wall; second husband, Paul VanHoozer; grandchild, Laura Williams; sisters, Leota (John) Hartpence, Merle (Bob) Leahy, Jerrie (Bill) Preston.Survived by her daughter, Kathleen "Kathi" (Richard) Sartin of Towanda; son, Gary (Debra) Wall of Montrose, CO; grandchildren, Lindsay Wall of Montrose, CO, Sara (Caleb) Adcock, Brian Sartin, both of Wichita; great-granddaughter, Cora Williams of Wichita; great-grandsons, Cooper Puhl of Colorado and Caleb Adcock of Wichita.A memorial has been established with: Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Dorothy was always fun to be with. She loved her family very much and always had a smile for everyone. She was the best pie maker around. Dorothy ‘s family is a testimony to her parenting skills. Enjoy your new life in heaven, Dorothy. Linda Hulstine
My sympathy to Kathi and Gary and families. My memories are mostly centered around the younger years on 22nd street in Wichita. Dorothy was always such a kind and thoughtful person.
