Postlewait, Dorothy May (Wiggins), 101, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Wheaton, IL. She was born on May 17, 1912, on a farm near Eureka, Kansas, to George and May Wiggins. She married Frank Postlewait on April 1, 1935, in a surprise ceremony following a wedding shower in Kansas City, Kansas. They moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1947 for Frank to build Crestway Free Methodist Church, where Dorothy was active in many ways. She enjoyed music, photography, cooking, and gardening. After Frank passed away in 1989, Dorothy moved next door to Mary and Dick Norton, in Wheaton, Illinois where she lived until her death. She is survived by a brother, Charles “Bud” Wiggins (Charlotte) of Eureka, Kansas; two daughters: Ruth Walter (Lewis, deceased) of Cape Coral, Florida, and Mary (Dick) Norton of Wheaton, Illinois; two grandsons: Stephen (JoLynne) and Daniel (Julie) Norton; and seven great grandchildren: Austin, Andrew, Samuel, Elizabeth, Esther, Sadie, Wesley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Dick, John, Mary, Jessanna, Helen, Betty; husband, and son, James Warren. Visitation with the Family will be Friday, August 30, 2013, 6:00-8:00 P.M., and Saturday, August 31, 2013, 9:00-10:00 A.M.; Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 A.M., all at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A memorial has been established with Free Methodist World Missions, P.O. Box 664140, Indianapolis, IN 46266-4140.
