Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Dorothy was a lovely neighbor of our family for ten years. We always enjoyed the friendly chats in the yard, over the fence or in the front room. Together we solved many world and political issues but her face always lit up when the chats were about her grandchildren! Her confident and spunky personality was one we all loved. She enjoyed our pets and ultimately adopted one of our critters which became ‘The Momma B-Cat!’ It was love at first sight, Momma Cat and Dorothy were inseparable! They were a perfect match, both beautiful and feisty! We all looked forward to the Christmas mornings we were able to share together. Dorothy would come for breakfast and bring her delicious, holiday casserole! She was a connesuir of food, friends and felines. Our thoughts and prays are with Cynthia, Judy, Sara and their families. Having known Dorothy has made our lives more full. May her zest for life be an inspiration for us all. She was a darling!
To Dorothy’s family, All of us at Southwestern send our condolences to you. We valued her friendship and are most grateful for all she did for Southwestern and for our students. Sincerely yours, Dick Merriman President Southwestern College
Remembering my visits to Wichita as well as visits by Vic and Dorothy to New York. What a beautiful sweet spirit. And when I visited in my college days and she graciously cooked and cared for that brief time, and Vic and Dorothy’s visit in Germany…… I will always fondly remember her in my heart.
