Douglas Ashley, 78, United States Navy retired CPO, died Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, David Lee and Norma Jean Ashley; daughter, Norma Jean Ashley; and brother, Jerry Ashley. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Ashley of Wichita, Kansas; sons, Daniel Lynn Ashley of Elk Grove, California, Larry (Tammy) Stephenson of Goddard, Kansas,  Tim (Debbie) Jacobs of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Stacey (Richard) Iaccarino of Long Island, New York; sisters, Gayelynn Ashley, Vivian (Tim) Littlejohn; brother, Lyle (Debbie) Rhoades of all of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219.
