Douglas S. Hardie, 59, of Goddard, owner of American Pioneer Equipment, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014. He enjoyed playing cards, tennis, camping, fishing and canoeing. Visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 22; Service, 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by father, James Seymour Hardie; mother, Meredith K. Mehl. Survivors: wife, Janet; children, Jayce Hardie of Wichita, Danielle Hardie (Josh Stuhlsatz) of Geneva, IL, Adam Hardie (Megan) of Goddard; siblings, Deena Hardie-Vallone (Michael) of Hoboken, NJ, Margo Hardie-Munoz (Julian) of New York, NY, Jeff Hardie (Sandy) of Lawrence, Pamela Espy (John) of Lawrence.
