Duane Desmarteau

Duane Desmarteau, 79, Owner and 51 Year Operator of Duane Desmarteau Farmers Insurance, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Visitation and Vigil will be at 7:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2016; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 29, 2016, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Duane was a ten-time winner of the Farmers Insurance Presidents Counsel Award. He served as a longtime active member and sponsor in AA, and was a 40+ year attendee of National Baseball Congress Tournament. He was an avid fan and supporter of WSU, KU, and all of his grandchildrens endeavors. Preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Anna Desmarteau; brothers, Victor, Melvin Desmarteau; sisters, Cecilia Arie, Evon Homm. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Mitzi; sons, Michael of Wichita, Mark of Santa Clarita, CA, Monte, Marty (Judy), both of Wichita; grandchildren, Jason, Jordon (Stephanie), Beau, Michelle Desmarteau; and great-grandchild (Jordons son), Adam Jordon Desmarteau; sister, Joann Pfeifer of Greeley, CO.
