Dulce Maria Tomas

Toms, Dulce Maria, 93, born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, passed away May 31, 2015. She was a loving, caring, mother, and friend. In 30 years as a daycare provider, she was mother to many children. To everyone she knew she lived up to her namesake of “sweet.” She will be greatly missed by all. Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by her parents; Maria de la Caridad Lefebre Antonio Marquez; husband, Juan Toms and son, Ricardo Toms. Survivors include her daughter, Dalia (Kendall) Toms-Kreft of Lake Stevens, WA; son, Jorge (Tina) Toms of Wichita, KS; siblings, Antonio Marquez of Miami Beach, FL, Gladys Sharp of Wichita Falls, TX, Delia Faustina Marquez Lefebre of Murcia, Spain; grandchildren, Andrea, Meghan, Kelsey, Larisa, Cassandra, Brandon, David, Eric; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Kennedy and Raiya. A memorial has been established with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
