Smith, Eddie A., 52, Beech Avionics Technician/ Rancher, died Saturday, January 1, 2005. Service 2:00 pm Tuesday at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Timothy John and Steffenie Smith of Leon, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Michael Devine of Derby; parents T.J. and Billie Raye Smith and sister and brother-in-law Carol and James Scott all of Andover. Three grandchildren Madeline and Trudy Smith and Bailey Devine and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorials have been with KETCH, and Boy Scouts of America, Quivira Council.

Eddie and I have been friends for over 20 years. He will be missed greatly. My sincere sympathy and condolences to his family.
I only met Eddie once when he helped my grandpa, Steve Lyon last Wednesday load hay. During that time Eddie seemed like a very generuos man who treated everyone he met with dignity and respect. And I am deeply sorry for your loss.
