Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Edna was my fifth grade teacher and by description, I was considered ‘teacher’s pet’ by the other students. I had the honor of leading Edna to the Lord in that classroom, so I know she is with the Lord. I actually had a dream about Edna about three weeks ago which I thought strange at the time and told my parents about then. Edna gave me a beaded, hand-made, green bell when I was in her class-which I still have to this day and have hung on my Christmas tree every year since she gave it to me. I’ve always cherished it and now, it will be even more cherished. My condolences and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Your friendship meant so much to us those many years ago in Kaiserslaughtern. Although the years have gone by the memories of those times remain. You will always be in our hearts and prayers.
I was a student of Edna’s at Emerson Open Alternative School. I have very fond memories of her warm, open, and supportive spirit. She made me feel like I could do anything. I am blessed to have been on Earth at the same time as Edna. -Trey McIntyre (Frankie Gibson’s son)
Aunt Edna, how can I say thank you for your powerful yet gentle presence in my life. I will love you always. We never really know how much we effect others that we come in contact with in our lives, I hope you know now. You are a special lady and I will look forward to the day that we meet again.love Kathy
To Tom, Anne and the rest of Edna’s family: Edna and I have been close friends for many years and I will miss our laughing and crying together greatly. She and I shared many wonderful times together but our shared experience at Friends University in the Family Therapy graduate program was truly a special time for both of us. Even earlier when she taught at Emerson and my younger son, Trey McIntyre, was a student was transformational for him and for me. I will always treasure the poetry she has sent me through the years and will miss her immensely. I’m sorry I won’t be in Wichita on Sunday but I will be there in spirit and my heart goes out to all of Edna’s family. Love and prayers, Frankie
