Tammany, Edward C., 72, Fun loving and beloved husband, father and grandfather, ended his courageous journey with Alzheimers on Sunday January 10, 2010. Funeral Mass 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Survivors: wife Joyce; son, Michael; daughters, Janet and Joan Tammany; grandsons: Spencer, Brandon, and Jason all of Wichita; sister, Ethel Carter, of N.Y. Ed was a dedicated family man and will be dearly missed by those who loved him. A memorial has been established with Alzheimers Association, 347 Laura, Wichita, KS 67211. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

I remember with great fondness of our many breakfasts together at IHOP. Little did I know then that Joe would precede Ed in death. Please know that he is remembered with love and that you are in my thoughts
Joyce and Family, Ed was truly a fun-loving guy. The days I worked with Ed at United Way, he always had a smile and a joke ready for you. He knew those gaint computers, back in the day, better then they knew themselves. Talking nicely to them always made that old IBM System 36 work that much better. It was hard to see what time and alzheimers had done to the Ed I knew. I can still hear that back east sound of his voice saying my name, always sounded like a lot more letters then the four to spell ‘Mark’. Ed was a professional in all he did for United Way, but that never stopped him from having fun
