Edward Daniel Jimenez

Edward Daniel Jimenez, 88, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on Monday, October 6^th, 2025.

Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving for four years and traveling to various locations around the world.  Upon his return, he attended Wichita State University and earned his degree in Business Administration.  Early in his career he managed a shoe store in Town East Square before finding a position with Catholic Charities as a migrant education recruiter.  He was an active member of the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita and the Church of the Nativity in Leawood.  He had a lifelong passion for music, especially jazz, and was also interested in photography and sports.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his two boys and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Angel and Juanita Jimenez and his brother Bob. Survived by his sons, Chris (Emily) Jimenez and Craig (Krista) Jimenez; grandchildren, Audrey, Mira, Matthew, Juliet, Cecilia, Parker and Preston; brothers, Frank (Barbara), Michael, Arthur and John Jimenez; sisters, Adeline Navarro, Marie Rothenberger, Celia (Ray) Oaks, Beatrice Villa and Julie Janzing.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 6:00 pm, with Rosary starting at 7:00 pm, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary; Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
