Steven, Edward M., 94, retired owner of Steven Auto Group and founder of Eddys Toyota, died Saturday, September 15, 2012. Rosary service 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 and Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2012, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Eddy served in the Air Force in World War II. He was one of 4 survivors of a B-24 who was shot down in the North Sea. Eddy started Eddys Fun Cars on South Broadway in 1960. He started delivering cars with paperwork out of the trunk of his car. His dedication and love of the auto business led him to own and be involved with over 21 imports and domestic car franchises from Yugos to Rolls Royces. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline. Edward is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Mike, of Wichita; daughter, Shelley Taylor (John), of Wichita; step-daughter, Paula Selvidge, of Carlsbad, CA; sister, Esther Steven, of Wichita; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
