Eileen Pruitt

Eileen Pruitt, 94, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013. A private family service was held on Friday. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Haynes A. Pruitt; a daughter, Joyce Straughen, and her parents, John and Maude Matzen. Survivors: son, Larry Pruitt (Jonene) of Georgetown, TX; daughter, Kathleen Slaymaker (John) of Wichita; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Eileen and Haynes farmed in the Goddard and Belle Plaine areas. For many years, Eileen enjoyed the music and programming on KPTS. The family has chosen memorials be sent in her memory to KPTS, 320 W. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67203. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
