Elizabeth Ann Feemster

December 1, 1975 ~ March 11, 2021
Elizabeth Ann Feemster, 45, was a friendly, sociable soul, always interested in others, but also interested in how she fit into the world. She was a former employee of Martin Interconnect Services and of Starkey, Inc. She passed away March 11, 2021.
Elizabeth was active at Grace Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and on the ushering committee. Her activities included many years as a member of the Wichita Independents Special Olympics team and at The Arc of Sedgwick County. A graduate of Wichita East High School, she also graduated from Chisholm Life Skills. Currently, Elizabeth was a student at Friendship Academy, located at Friends University as part of the Friendship Fields program.
Elizabeth had a wonderful aptitude for latch hooking. She created many works of art as wall hangings and shared them with friends and family.
Preceded in death by her father, Mike Feemster, and grandparents Harold and Mary Stephans and Joseph and Deborah Feemster. Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Cathy, Wichita; and by her uncles and aunts Bill and Micki Stephans, Wichita; Tim and Gretchen Feemster, Dallas; and Deborah Snaukstas, Charleston, South Carolina; also by her cousins Sean Stephans, Denver; Ryan Stephans, Olathe; Melissa Feemster, Chicago; Leah Gause and William Snaukstas, both of Charleston, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67206; Friendship Academy, c/o Friends University, 2100 W. University Ave. Wichita, KS 67213; and Wichita Independents, c/o Kim Mudd, 1414 N. Doris, Wichita, KS 67212.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church on March 22 at 1 p.m. It will be live-streamed on Facebook (go to mygpc.org and click watch live).
Elizabeth was a sweet person. She will be missed so much at our Special Olympic events. I can’t imagine having bowling or bowling or any Special Olympic events without Elizabeth present. My prayers and deepest sympathy to the family.
