Elizabeth “Beth” Hoch, 79, retired Boeing Accountant, died Monday, January 12, 2026. Beth was born to Arthur and Charlotte Maddox on July 28, 1946, in La Harpe, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita North High School in 1964 and Wichita State University in 1976.

Beth met Dan Hoch in 1980 at First United Methodist Church’s Singles Group, became friends and later engaged, and finally married on March 20, 1982. They were happily married for 43 years. Beth and Dan enjoyed many happy years together working, traveling and doting on their many nieces and nephews.

Beth is survived by her brothers, Jerry (Ramona) Maddox, Mike (Michele) Maddox, Marty (Sue) Maddox; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Charlotte Maddox; brother, Charles Edwin Maddox; husband, Daniel Dean Hoch.

Public Viewing will be from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2026, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary – East Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at First United Methodist Church. Graveside Service will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with: First United Methodist Church, 330 North Broadway Street, Wichita, Kansas 67202.
