Elizabeth (Taylor) King Warren

Elizabeth King (Taylor) Warren, 92, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Elizabeth was born October 16, 1921 in Shreveport, LA, and was the only child to Edna and Owen Taylor. She married Cecil Warren Jr. (deceased) on April 19, 1941, and had three children, Cecil Warren III (deceased), David (Anne) Warren of Wichita and Mark Warren of Shreveport, LA. After raising her children, Elizabeth went to nursing school and worked at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA. She was awarded Nurse of the Year during her tenure there. She moved to Wichita in 2010 where she was a resident of the Catholic Care Center until her death. She cherished her three children, seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and many friends. Rosary, 7 p.m. Thursday, February 13; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 14, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Spexarth officiating.
