Elizabeth “Vickie” Bradley passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born December 6, 1930 in White Plains, New York, the daughter of John Caleb and Margaret Brownlee (Maxwell) Phipps. Vickie married Don M. Bradley on October 4, 1952 at Calvary Chapel at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Vickie attended Berkely Secretarial School in East Orange, NJ. Vickie was proud of a letter she received from Barbara Bush, then First Lady, thanking her for her volunteer work. She was busy as Brownie Leader, Troup Organizer, Cookie Chairman each for several years and received a 10-year pin. She also volunteered for 24 years at Overland Park Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don Bradley; her brother, John B. Phipps; and a daughter, Beth. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Stewart of Wichita, Cheryl (Jim) Humphrey of Tulsa, OK, and Judy Bradley of St. Louis, MO; grandchild, Amy (Dr. Justin) Fernandez; great-grandsons, Hugo and Leo Fernandez. Vickie was very close to her sisters-in-law, who she considered to be sisters. She was also very closed to her 21 nieces and nephews. She is going to miss them all. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Blue Mound, KS. A memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
