Belen, Elsa Sayoc, 84, retired pharmacist, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 ~ 8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Rosary, Friday, 6:30 P.M. June 10, Funeral Mass Saturday, 10:00 A.M. both at St. Thomas Aquinas. Preceded in death by husband, Dr. Ernesto A. Belen Sr. and son, Enrico S. Belen. Survivors: children Emeline (Eustaquio II) Abay, Sharon Bernal, Ernesto Jr. (Mary Ann Chang), Erwin (Ivy) Belen and Eleanor; grandchildren, Christine (Jeff) Kavlick, Eustaquio Michael III (Cathy Barba), Erl, Casey, Anthony Ian and Emily Abay, Samantha, Stephanie, Ernest Ivan and Sabrina Belen, Ysabella Sage; great grandchildren; Michael Abay, Bennett and Mia Kavlick, Audrey and Jayden Barba. Elsa was born to Dr. David T. Sayoc and Amparo Azcarate on November 26, 1926 and was a graduate of University of the Philippines in 1950. Rosary, Friday, 6:30 P.M. June 10, Funeral Mass Saturday, 10:00 A.M. both at St. Thomas Aquinas.
