Elvira M. Melchor

Elvira M. Melchor, age 94, retired Notary Public, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Wichita. She was born November 16, 1926, in Wichita to the late Jose and Carmen (Gutierrez) Lopez. Elvira married Jose Melchor on December 26, 1949, and they were married for more than 50 years, until his passing in June of 2000. Elvira is survived by her son, Robert (Barbara) Melchor; grandsons, Robert Jr. (Meghan) Melchor, Matthew Melchor, Antonio Melchor, and great-grandson, Cruz Melchor, all of Wichita. Rosary, 9:30 a.m.; Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m., both Thursday, August 19 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 2351 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67219.
