Judi and Family, I will never forget Emmett! There are so many memories and you probably remember them all. I remember Emmett as a Christian witness. I remember Emmett as a father and foster dad. I remember Emmett as co-worker and friend. I remember Emmett as a poet writing about his kids, I remember Emmett and Judi coming Into WCH (no matter the hour) to pick up another child that needed their love, caring and help). It might’ve just been one of them with their smiles because the other one was at home, taking care of other foster children). God has him now; but God remembers him as the man who was always praying about his children and foster children.
Emmett was one of a kind! He always had that big smile on his face and whenever he was around you could guarantee that at some point you would be laughing. He knew how to make others smile as well with his quick wit. I had come to know him well through church and how we worked together to bring the ACTS retreat to Wichita. He has been such a part of so many lives and will be greatly missed. I am blessed to have gotten to know him.
Dearest Judi and family, So sorry to hear of Emmett’s passing. What a wonderful husband, father and grandpa he was. He has been received in the arms of Jesus Christ and is in no more pain. Praying for peace that passes all understanding for you and your family. Love you all,
Barbara and David Eckerman
Emmett was a fellow ACTS brother. His smile was warm and welcoming, making me feel at home in his home parish of StFrancis.
Prayers for peace/comfort for all of you during this difficult time✝️💜✝️
