Eric Rick Shank

Shank, Eric "Rick" 64, passed away July 8, 2016, surrounded by family members. He was a tool designer at local aircraft companies prior to teaching at USD 259. He took an early retirement in 2014 to open Divots Golf Shop with his son. He enjoyed bowling for many years, which included three 300 games. He met his wife, Glenda, in a WSU bowling league in 1972, and they married July 20, 1973. He loved to play golf and shared that love with his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, and brother, Rod. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Glenda; mother LaVere; son Gavin (Ruth) of Wichita, daughter Shannon Taylor (Brett) and grandchildren Alexa and Zack, of Omaha, NE. Visitation will be held on July 13, 2016 at 6-8 pm and Funeral services will be held on July 14, 2016 at 10:07 am, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
