Eugene D. Peters

Eugene D. Peters, 96, born in Oxford, KS, on July 8, 1921, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Gene was a WW II US Army Air Corps veteran who worked as a Service Advisor at Bulger Cadillac-Oldsmobile in Wichita until his retirement in 1988. He was an active member of the community and a charter member of Reformation Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Clarice Peters; his five daughters, Susan Joan (Kenton) Cook of McKinney, TX, Catherine Ann Fesefeldt of Wendisch-Evern, Germany, Peggy Diane (Robert) Fumagalli of Houston, TX, Rebecca Gene (Bernard) Brunner-Peters of Seuzach, Switzerland, Roberta "Robby" (Loren) Lafleur of Portland, OR; his three brothers, Robert (Harriet) Peters of Bartlesville, OK, Donald (June) Peters of Bartlesville, OK, Richard (Helen) Peters of Edmond, OK; his 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 26th, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27th, 11:00 am, at Reformation Lutheran Church, with a graveside service following at 3:00 pm at the Oxford Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Reformation Lutheran Church.
