  1. Thank you for being the best Dad a girl could ask for, and such a loving Grandpa. Heaven is lucky to have you as a handyman, and I know after the big celebration of your arrival there you will be back to all of your many projects with your many God given talents. You were truly one of a kind, and life will not be the same without you. – Fritzie

  2. While I may not have had a deep or strong relationship with my grandpa, I can see where his influence has touched my life and those around me. I have concrete memories of him sitting in his recliner during the summers of my childhood, tolerating us grandchildren interrupting his peace. I remember sitting in the garage and appreciating the pictures of his cars along the wall or visiting his bright green truck at the car show up on the corner. I can see his wit and humor, his charm and charisma, his amazing head of hair, and maybe a bit of his temper peeking through my family members. I am amazed to see the family he and my beautiful grandma have built. We can be crazy, irritating, funny, loyal, headstrong, generous, and many other things. I am forever thankful for his role in giving me the family and childhood I have. – Zoe

  3. My deepest sympathy to the Urban family. Gene was a fine man, loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He will be missed by all. Gene was a car guy, building a classic was great enjoyment for him, and he was very good at it. It makes me feel good knowing his suffering is over. Knowing he is in heaven with God is comforting. Rest In Peace til we meet again. God bless.

  4. Rest Eugene, until you hear at dawn, the low, clear reveille of God. Thank you for your service to this nation. U.S. Army.

  5. Gene was the best grandpa you could ask for. He was the most selfless and helpful person I’ve ever met. If you ever needed help with anything he could help you out, or answer any questions you had. He spent all his time working on a car or crafting something out of wood. He put plenty of things on this Earth to leave his legacy, and now I’m sure he’s fixing whatever wasn’t working right for the big man upstairs.
